Earlier in the day, the networks also broke into programming for live coverage of the shooting.
All three network anchors were also back in New York City, after having reported from three different cities Wednesday, June 27.
On “NBC Nightly News,” anchor Lester Holt started the newscast in front of the studio’s video tower, with plenty of imagery of emergency vehicles on the segmented video panels and walls on the set.
The video tower also featured the Capital Gazette newspaper logo prominently in a blue banner as well as the words “Office Shooting Rampage.”
