NBC begins airing hard-hitting new ‘Nightly News’ promos

The fast tightly edited shots, much of which match the beat of the music and include natural sound such as sirens, are complemented with bold typography in a version of the font Argent CF, an elegant but modern typeface that has some similarities to the “Nightly” logotype, though adds some interesting flairs, especially in the “R” and “U.”

Some of the text is placed atop photography with thin accent borders barely visible, while others are set against a dark, solid color background with blue accent lines.
