CNN mixes light, darkness for Synagogue shooting coverage

The base of the look is a simple logotype in Minion with line between set against dark imagery with bursts of light from candles and other sources. In Judaism, like many religions, both light and darkness have important symbolic roles.

The look is also used as a background behind photos of the victims.
