NBC News heats up weather center

NBC News turned up the temperature on the weather center it creates using part of MSNBC’s side of Studio 3A during coverage of the heat wave sweeping the country.

The network first started using the video large video wall array to cover weather in June 2019.

A similar, but recolored layout was used during Tropical Storm Barry coverage.

Now, the video wall background was updated again with warm oranges and photographs of the sun to convey the scorching temperatures.

Al Roker joined “NBC Nightly News” Thursday, July 18, 2019, for a weather update.
