On Monday, September 13, 2021, “NBC Nightly News” moved to Studio 1A, the home of “Today.”
The studio is now the permanent home of the broadcast – replacing Studio 3C – with anchor Lester Holt leveraging the space’s large LED video walls and two new desks.
Ahead of the move to Studio 1A a variety of updates were made to unify the space’s design language including new curved header pieces, updated flooring and new lightboxes.
