CNN map relocates Hong Kong to South America

Traci Lee, a producer for MSNBC, noticed something unusual on CNN this weekend — a map depicting Hong Kong as being in South America. Hong Kong is actually located southeast of China and is one of the country’s “Special Administrative Regions.”

She tweeted the photo this morning.
