‘CBS Evening News’ gets bluer look, new sound for Norah O’Donnell debut

New color palette

“CBS Evening News” dropped its red, deep blue and grays in favor of a fresher shade of blue along with white and dark grays.

The blue is no only used in the graphics, but washes and splashes of the color are also incorporated into the show’s lighting cues, creating a richer, darker look on the studio’s faux brick walls.

Blue washes are also used on the front of the normally line wood tone desk, as well as the riser’s surface.
