Moving closer to a round table for discussion, the desk design from Clickspring Design dumps the previous gently arc in favor of interaction. Moderator Chuck Todd is now able to directly look at panelists, with many cross shots possible.
The desk includes no riser and is about bar height, using tall red chairs for the talent. The coloring matches the wood tones on the set and includes “Meet the Press” logos under the plexi top.
This change comes a year after the current studio debuted, and a week after Todd’s daily show on MSNBC began.
The lighting design was also updated by The Lighting Design Group’s Neil Galen.
