2017 in Review: ‘ABC World News Tonight’ stays steady

ABC’s “World News Tonight” had a solid but steady 2017 — the only one of the big three networks to not have a major anchor or studio change — but stayed true to its mission of covering the day’s news, especially big stories.
In May, the network offered extended coverage of the Manchester bombing and then sent anchor David Muir to Capitol Hill to cover the Congressional baseball shooting.
